“Desires”

A multimedia artist based in Tokyo, KALIN LAWRENCE traverses various creative media. As an artist, she focuses on research and creation centered around themes of nature and well-being. She is also a co-founder of "Tokyo Love Hotels," a community-based creative and experience platform.

“Desires” Exhibition Neurographic art is a meditative process that connects the unconscious and conscious mind, forming new neural pathways through the integration of art and psychology. Many use this method while they visualize their desires.

Inspired by this concept, Kalin created the three-piece series to illustrate our desires and the various paths we can take in the attempt to pursue them. Some of these paths take us to our goals, while others come up empty, or perhaps a detour.

This series a depiction of how we compare life as a game.
