HVEN Gallery is pleased to present “SELECTED WORKS,” an exhibition bringing together a selection of works by Tokyo-based French multidisciplinary artist Martin Berteloodt.
Working across sculpture, photography, film, leather craft, and mixed media, Berteloodt explores the psychological dimensions of human experience, particularly the tensions between desire and anxiety, beauty and decay, the conscious and the unconscious.
Rooted in psychoanalytic research and influenced by European surrealism and Japanese avant-garde aesthetics, his practice transforms psychological narratives into physical forms. Through the juxtaposition of organic and synthetic materials, polished surfaces and visceral textures, his works occupy an ambiguous space between attraction and repulsion, reality and dream.
Specially selected for HVEN Gallery, the exhibition brings together works from Berteloodt’s multidisciplinary practice, offering a glimpse into a world where the sensual and the grotesque coexist, and where familiar forms take on unsettling new meanings.
