HVEN Gallery is pleased to present “DOG STROLLER PT.2,” the second chapter of the ongoing project by French artist and designer Paul Youenn.
Beginning with the simple image of a dog in a stroller, the project explores the changing ways we understand care, companionship, and control. Through an everyday object, the project reflects on shifting relationships between humans and animals, nature and technology, and the forms of attachment emerging in contemporary life.
While Part 1, developed during Youenn’s residency at WPÜ, presents the photographic research behind the project, Part 2 moves beyond the image and into physical space.
Presented within HVEN Gallery’s glass vitrines, fragments of the research take on new forms and dimensions. Somewhere between the real and the speculative, each vitrine becomes a small world of its own, deliberately left open to interpretation.

「Dog Stroller」は、ベビーカーに乗った犬というシンプルなイメージから始まり、ケアや愛着、管理に対する私たちの認識の変化を探求するプロジェクトです。日常的なモノを通して、人間と動物、自然とテクノロジーの関係、そして現代社会において生まれつつある新たな結びつきのあり方を問いかけます。
WPÜでのレジデンス期間中に展開されたPart 1では、プロジェクトの背景にある写真によるリサーチを紹介しました。続くPart 2では、イメージの枠を超え、リサーチを物理的な空間へと展開します。
HVEN Galleryのガラスケースの中で、リサーチの断片は新たな形と立体性を獲得します。現実と想像のあいだに位置するそれぞれの展示ケースは、解釈の余地を残した、ひとつの小さな世界を形づくります。
